TOP 5 FISH FROM THE WATER – #3 – GOLD SPOT TREVALLY NEAR PERTH
Wrecks are some of the best places to fish, but they’re also some of the hardest.
They’re small and hard to keep near enough to fish if the current is racing. Then, if you get in the right spot, the fish that live there know exactly where to bury you when they’re hooked.
This is what makes them so exciting and this wreck north of Perth was home to an amazing variety of species like samsonfish, dhufish, skippy (silver trevally) and many other southern fish you’d expect near Perth.
But on this day something else was playing rough. Not a samsonfish but a school of 8-12kg gold spot trevally that are rarely seen this far south in Western Australia.
