Fish Are Often 10m From Shore – 4K UltraHD

Beach Fishing Basics – Nick uses a running sinker rig to show you just how close most of the fish on a beach can be.

In this case, all of the Herring are less than 10 metres from the shoreline so why cast 50 metres into the desert when the fish are right at your feet!

Footage from our PowerDolphin ROV shows you just how barren the bottom can be once you get past the breakers or structure on a beach. Much of the time, beaches are not teeming with fish and this footage shows you only a lonely crab and several herring but no whiting and no big schools of fish. Out of 20 minutes of footage these were the only shots of fish in the area.

How many herring can you spot?
