BIG SQUID FROM COCKBURN SOUND

The water on this occasion was very dirty so you needed a jig to stand out. By starting off working from the deeper water on a slow drift, up across the ledge to the shallower part of the bay, Nick found there was a concentration of squid near the “wall” of seagrass.
Other places to try for big squid in Cockburn Sound are near small rocky structures and also concentrations of bait.
